Type of wine: still
Colour: rosé wine
Region: Piedmont (Roero)
Oenologist: Lorenzo Quinterno
Harvest: handpicked towards the end of September
Vinification: following a brief maceration on its skins (8-12 hours) at cool temperatures (10°-12°C), solids are filtered and the must begins fermentation in steel tanks at approximately 18°C. The wine remains on its fine lees for several months with frequent lees stirring.
Ageing: in steel for several months, Ageworthy, this wine is excellent for up to five years.
Closure: Diam corks
Volume: 75 cl
Type of farming: conventional
Tasting notes: The colour is a transparent rosé owing to the Nebbiolo variety’s restrained anthocyanins.
However, Nebbiolo’s elegance is apparent in the nose, with floral-tinged spice and fruit notes. On the palate, Rosanebbia rosé is intense with a long finish and lingering suggestions of rose petals.
Pairings: A truly versatile wine, Rosanebbia is excellent with charcuterie platters, grilled fish, fish soup and both red and white meat.
